Attention 7^th &  8^th grade girls and boys:

If you are interested in the possibility of playing soccer for GPMS this season, GET AN UPDATED PHYSICAL NOW!  Don't wait and then miss tryouts because you don't have a current physical on file. Beat the rush! Stop by the gyms and ask a coach for a form or drop by E202 and get a form from Ms. Orton. Physicals are offered by the Legacy Clinic here on campus...easy peasy! Soccer season will be here before you know it! See you on the pitch!

Energy Drinks of any kind are prohibited at Galena Park Middle School.

Dear GPMS Families,

The safety of our students is always our number one priority. To ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process, please take a moment to review the following reminders:

• 🚗 Keene Street is a two-way street – please use caution when entering or exiting.
• 🚦 The intersection of Keene Street and 3rd Street is a 3-way stop. Please come to a complete stop and follow traffic rules.
• 🔆 Drivers waiting in the car rider line should turn on their hazard lights to help staff and other drivers identify cars in line.
• 🏷️ Car tags must be clearly visible for a safe and quick pick-up.
• 👮 Always follow the crossing guard’s directions.
• 🚫 No student pick-up is allowed in front of the school building on Keene Street.
• 🚫 Drivers do not block the bus ramp entrance and exit. 

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our students safe during dismissal. By following these procedures, you are making dismissal safer and faster for everyone.

Estimadas familias de GPMS:

La seguridad de nuestros estudiantes siempre es nuestra prioridad. Para garantizar una salida segura y sin contratiempos, les pedimos que revisen los siguientes recordatorios:

🚗 La calle Keene es de doble sentido; tengan cuidado al entrar y salir.

🚦 La intersección de las calles Keene y 3rd es una intersección de tres vías. Deténganse completamente y respeten las normas de tránsito.

🔆 Los conductores que esperan en la fila de autos deben encender las luces de emergencia para ayudar al personal y a otros conductores a identificar los autos en la fila.

🏷️ Las etiquetas de los autos deben estar claramente visibles para una recogida segura y rápida.

👮 Siga siempre las instrucciones del guardia de cruce.

🚫 No se permite recoger estudiantes frente al edificio escolar en la calle Keene.

🚫 Los conductores no bloquean la entrada ni la salida de la rampa de autobús.

Gracias por su cooperación para ayudarnos a mantener la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes durante la salida. Al seguir estos procedimientos, la salida será más segura y rápida para todos.
