GPMS Symphonic Band Wind Ensemble
Both Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble did awesome at Gator Music Festival! Both bands brought home sweepstakes trophies for all three judges giving them the highest rating, "superior.” Both bands had every single section recognized as an outstanding section by the judges (second year in a row for Wind Ensemble!). Huge shoutout to 7th graders Isabella Flores (alto sax) and Allan Castillo (trumpet) who were named outstanding soloists!

Galena Park ISD is excited to host the Class of 2025 Commencement Exercises on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at NRG Stadium. The schedule is as follows: North Shore at 9:00 a.m., Galena Park at 1:00 p.m., and Early College at 3:30 p.m.

GPMS 7th Grade Football Team District Champions!
GPMS 7th Grade Football Team is officially the District Champions after defeating Woodland Acres 25 - 0 in another dominant performance. It was a great season with outstanding performances from Terrion Bailey, Darrion Runnels, Irvin Rojas, Lucas Colon, Andrew Aguirre, Santiago Reyes, Servando Salinas, and the ENTIRE Football team. The MVPs of the season are ..Lyric Ramirez and Kennard Miller! Galena Park holds the trophy for the Battle of the South Side AND District Champs!

Region 4 Superintendent of the Year
Galena Park ISD Superintendent Dr. John Moore has been selected as the Region 4 Superintendent of the Year. This distinction makes Moore the Region 4 nominee for Texas Superintendent of the Year, which will be announced Sept. 28 by the Texas Association of School Boards and the Texas Association of School Administrators at txEDCON24.

GPISD Visitation Policy
Clear Bag Regulation for Visitors-- Effective Tuesday, May 30, 2023
To ensure student, staff, and visitor safety, along with quick and efficient entry into GPISD campuses and facilities, a Clear Bag Regulation has been instituted for visitors. This will limit the type of bag allowed. All bags brought onto GPISD campuses or facilities by visitors are subject to visual inspection.
